Fellowship Launches New Blog

Fellowhip Presbyterian Church has today launched a new BLOG -- or weblog. The site was built to facilitate efficient and immediate distribution of information to members and web site visitors interested in knowing what's going on a Fellowship.

Blogs are unique types of web sites. They include articles, journals and almost any type of information one can think of. This information is written and published by a limited number of hand-chosen authors.

The fact that readers can comment on articles published in blogs is a major differentiator between a blog and traditional web sites.

Fellowship's block is now online and can be viewed at Click Here To Visit the Fellowship Blog

Jean Rodenbough Joins Fellowship Staff

Rev. Dr. Jean Rodenbough -- a retired Presbyterian Minister – has joined the ministerial staff at Fellowship Presbyterian Church in the role of Parish Associate, In that role, she will work to develop programs, especially programs for women, and provide additional pastoral services to the church as a whole.

Jean says of her retirement – “I find little free time to be “retired,” but much time to do what I believe God calls me to do.” She has already gotten her feet wet; completing a needs assessment for a Fellowship Presbyterian Church internet blog and several other innovative ways the church may use technology in ministry. More information will be forthcoming for all these endeavors.

As First Vice President of the North Carolina Council of Churches Jean hopes to share with you some of the work that the Council does in ministries with the people of North Carolina. She also participates in several organizations here in Greensboro and elsewhere in addition to being the author of Gather with the Saints, a collection of stories about unusual people, unusual deaths and unusual funerals. Her second book, Signs of Hope: Messages for the Grieving, provides healing stories about grief and loss. They are both available on www.lulu.com by putting her name in the search window.

Jean is also a poet, belonging to the Writers' Group of the Triad. She is currently working on a book about the WWII experiences of children.

Jean is committed in her role at Fellowship to not only emphasize her opinions but to challenge you to respond with your own views about the topics of interest.
